Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home offers
many cremation options to meet each family's needs and financial
means.
People need a definite experience that will validate
the reality of death and provide an occasion for family and friends
to share memories of the one who has died.
We suggest you make your wishes known by discussing them with those
you love. You may also want to consider prearranging those wishes
with us to provide personal peace of mind.
What is cremation? Cremation is one of the
alternatives available to dispose of the remains of a loved one
following death. The process reduces the body to bone fragments
through the application of intense heat over a period of two to
three hours. The remaining fragments are then processed into a granular
form and placed in a temporary container.
Cremation needs to be incorporated with some type of ceremony for
memorialization for our mental well being and ability to cope with
grief.
Proper disposition of cremated remains. Cremated
remains may be 1) placed in an urn which is made of a variety of
materials, 2) scattered in a commemorative garden, 3) placed in
a niche, 4) interred at a cemetery or 5) kept by your family.
Arrangements for cremating and a cremation memorial
service may be made in advance of need. Planning for tomorrow is
one of the nicest things you can do for yourself and for those you
love. |
