Visitation after 2:00pm Thursday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home.
Guild Rosary will be 3:00pm Friday, and Vigil For The Deceased will be 7:30pm Friday,
followed by visitation with the family, all at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home, Jefferson.

Anna Isabelle McCurdy was born January 4, 1920 at Greene County Hospital, in Jefferson, Iowa. She was the daughter of Frank and Bridgette (Harkins) Dittert. Anna was raised in the Greene county area, attending country schools and later Jefferson schools.

Anna was united in marriage to Eugene McCurdy on February 6, 1951, to which one son, Philip Joe was born. They resided in rural Rippey until the late 1950s, then moved to Jefferson.

Anna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and looked forward to attending meetings with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Anna McCurdy passed away at the Jefferson Manor on November 11, 2003 at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 7 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eugene; and her brother Francis “Doc” Dittert.

Survivors include her son, Philip Joe McCurdy and wife Barbara of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three grandsons: Frank McCurdy and wife Kelly of Plainfield, Indiana; Shannon McCurdy of Woodbridge, Virginia; and Philip John McCurdy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one great-granddaughter, Audrey McCurdy of Plainfield, Indiana; one sister-in-law: Ruth Dittert of Middle Amana, IA; other relatives and friends.
