Naomi M. Mullins
Naomi M. Mullins, 72, of Jefferson died at her
home October 23, 2003.
Funeral Services: 11:00am Saturday November 1, 2003 at First United
Methodist Church, Jefferson. Interment in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation
with the family between 7:00 - 8:00pm Friday at Slininger-Rossow
Funeral Home, Jefferson.
Naomi Marjean Mullins was born November 2, 1930
at Bagley, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ward and Hazel Oleen Brain.
Naomi was raised on a farm in Greene county and attended school
at Paton. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Moret in 1950 to
which one son, Arlon, was born. Naomi and Lawrence were later divorced.
Naomi married Jay Mullins in September of 1952,
to which one daughter, Ava, was born. They resided on a farm in
Webster county and later moved to Greene county. After Jay’s
death in 1977, Naomi moved to Jefferson.
Naomi was a longtime member of the Eastern Star
and of the Salem United Methodist Church in Paton. After moving
to Jefferson, she attended the United Methodist Church. She was
also a member of the United Methodist Women.
Naomi Mullins passed away at her home October
23, 2003 at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 21 days. She was
preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jay Mullins, a sister
in infancy, and former husband Lawrence Moret.
Survivors include her son, Arlon Moret and his
wife Barb of Madrid, Iowa; a daughter, Ava Davidson and her husband
John of Pella, Iowa; five grandsons: Chad and his wife Sabrina Moret
of Norwalk; Mike Moret of Ankeny; Mark Moret of Ankeny; Paul Davidson
of Pella; and Phil Davidson of Pella; one great-grandson, Keaton
Moret of Norwalk; one brother, Merlin Brain of Farnhamville; and
many relatives and friends.
