Aryles L. Jackson

Funeral services for Aryles Louise Jackson, 90, of Jefferson,
will be 11:00am Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
Interment will be at Greenbrier Township Cemetery.
Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson
after 11:00am Wednesday. The family will be present at the funeral
home to greet friends between 7:00 -8:00pm Wednesday.

Aryles Louise Jackson, daughter of John and Ella (Oberkamper)
Simmer, was born on a farm in rural Greene County on October 28,
1913. She was united in marriage with Ralph Jackson, Jr. on May
2, 1930 at Carroll, Iowa.
During her life, Aryles was a homemaker, a restaurant operator,
and for ten years she was the Director of Housekeeping at the
Perry Lutheran Home. She will be remembered for her wonderful
pies.
Aryles was known for her kind and gentle manner, her love for
her children, 25 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 17
great-great grandchildren.
Aryles Louise Jackson, 90, died on August 15, 2004 at the Greene
County Medical Center. Preceding her in death were her husband,
Ralph Jackson, Jr.; and infant son, Ralph Jackson III; two sisters
and two brothers.
Survivors include six children, James Jackson (Joan) of Cedar
Falls, IA; Jeanne Fitz of Scribner, NE; Joseph Jackson (Karen)
of Fort Dodge, IA; Andrew Jackson (Aura) of Omaha, NE; Joan Hobart
(Delmar) of Prole, IA and Stephen Jackson (Diane) of Jefferson,
IA; 25 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great
grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Keith Simmer of
Minburn, IA and Jerry Simmer of Harlingen, TX.
