Doris C. Hillman, 72, died Thursday September 16, 2004. Funeral services will be 1:30pm Sunday, September 19, 2004 at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction, IA. Burial will be at the Junction Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Grand Junction after 4:00pm Saturday, where the family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 8:00pm Saturday. Doris was born October 15, 1931 at Perry, IA, daughter of Milo Vanhorn and Thelma (Tucker) Vanhorn. Doris graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Rolland Hillman on February 5, 1950. Survivors include her husband, Rolland of Grand Junction, IA; son Steve Hillman (Mary) of Grand Junction; daughters Renee Rains of Kansas City, MO and Pam Hillman of Des Moines, IA; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and one brother Joe Vanhorn (Lois) of Vincent, IA. Memorial Contributions may be made in Doris’ name to East Greene Alumni Scholarship Fund. |
