Grace J. Seeden

Funeral services for Grace Seeden, 80, of Jefferson, will be 10:00am Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Interment will be at Greenbrier Twp. Cemetery.

Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson after 10:00am Friday. The family will be present to greet friends between 7:00 - 8:30pm Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Central Iowa at Boone, or the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson.

 

Grace Jean Seeden was born May 26, 1924 in Greene County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Anna Burns Thaler.

Grace was married to Leo Eugene Seeden on December 17, 1943 at Scranton, Iowa. Grace and Leo became the parents of three daughters. Leo died October 26, 1954.

Grace was the Greene County Clerk of Court for 30 years, retiring in January 1985. She belonged to Business and Professional Women, TTT, and was a member of the Methodist Church at Greenbrier and Jefferson.

Grace Seeden died June 2, 2004 at the Greene County Medical Center. She was 80 years of age.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and a brother, Dean Thaler. Surviving are 3 daughters: Kay Maddux and husband Bob of Garland, Texas; Karen Wenger and husband John of Branson, Missouri, Connie Larsen of Huron, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary Yates of Perry, IA and nieces and nephews.
