John "Jack" Healy

Memorial services for John “Jack” Healy, 79, of Jefferson,
will be 10:00am Saturday, October 23, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Jefferson. The family will visit with friends at the church,
one hour prior to the memorial service. Memorials may be left
at the church or at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home. Private burial
at Scranton Twp. Cemetery, Scranton, Iowa.
John Joseph “Jack” Healy was born December 9, 1924
in Jackson Township, Greene County, Iowa. He was the son of Daniel
Joseph Healy and Margaret Loretta Hennessey Healy.
Jack was united in marriage to Jessie Shriver on February 21,
1944. They became the parents of six children. They lived in Greene
County all their married life, then left the farm and moved to
Jefferson in 1962.
Jack was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson.
He died October 14, 2004 at the Greene County Medical Center Long
Term Care Unit. He was 79 years of age.
Preceding him in death were his parents, an infant brother Daniel
Joseph, a son Denny, a grandson Jamie Zeller, and two brothers-in-law:
Ike Lyons and Doug Shriver.
Survivors include three sons: Mike of Dixon, IL; Joe and Tim,
both of Jefferson, IA; two daughters: Nancy Hebner of Sioux Falls,
SD and Sandra Zeller of St. Anthony, IA; two sisters: Pat Monthei
and Margaret Lyons, both of Jefferson, IA; 12 grandchildren, 8
great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorials in Jack’s name may be left at Slininger-Rossow
Funeral Home, Jefferson.
