Lawrence Robert Farmer was born October 25, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised by his mother and step-father, May and Jimmy Redding.

Larry lived on the east coast for most of his life. He worked as a tile setting professional. He also was an accomplished bowler, and was awarded many bowling trophies.

Nearly 10 years ago, Larry moved to Iowa. He made his home in Bagley, Iowa with his fiancé, Nancy Sellers. Larry was a member of the Church of Christ in Bagley.

Larry liked to play games of chance, including bingo and casino games. He enjoyed golfing.

Larry Farmer died January 26, 2004, at the Greene County Medical Center. He was 50 years of age. His mother and step-father preceded him in death.

Survivors include: fiancé, Nancy Sellers of Bagley, IA; daughter, April Lynn Farmer of Williamstown, NJ; grandchildren, Tyler and Nickolas Nye; brothers: Billy Farmer of Spencer and George Farmer, Jr of South Carolina; father, George Farmer, Sr. of Florida, other relatives and friends.
