Funeral services for Lucile Molle will be 2:30pm Saturday May 8, 2004 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home, Jefferson, with interment at Franklin Twp. Cemetery, Cooper, IA. Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home after 2:30 Friday, where the family will be present to greet friends between 5:00 – 8:00pm Friday. ***** Lucile Jane Molle was born November 10, 1912 in Rutland, Illinois. She was the daughter of Louis Anderson and Dena Kleen Anderson. The family moved to Iowa, where Lucile graduated from Rippey High School. Lucile was married to J.R. (Bob) Molle on September 17, 1935 in Gonzales, California. The couple moved to Iowa in 1937. Over the years, they lived in several Greene county locations, including Grand Junction, Churdan, Cooper, and the Jefferson-Scranton area. Lucile raised her family, then worked in the dietary department at the Greene County Medical Center. She retired in 1979. Lucile and Bob lived in Jefferson for many years. Lucile was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. She enjoyed watching ball games on television, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Lucile Molle died May 5, 2004 at the Greene County Medical Center, Jefferson. She was 91 years of age. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son, Bill Molle; 2 brothers: Delbert and William; and a sister, Alta Treloar. Survivors include 3 daughters: Roberta Pohl of Hyattsville, MD; Betty Haffner of Fort Dodge, IA; and Carol Vogelzang of Council Bluffs, IA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
