Larry Jack Sinclair was born May 7, 1936 in Corydon, Iowa. He
was the son of Edward and Muriel (Scott) Sinclair. Jack grew up
in Corydon and graduated from Corydon High School.
He owned a Conoco Service Station in Des Moines for 10 years,
then was in the construction supply business for 15 years. Beginning
in 1986, Jack was a sales representative for Hallett Materials.
He lived in Prairie City and Des Moines.
Jack was united in marriage to Beverly Anderson Ogren on November
27, 1993 at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. The
couple lived in Jefferson, Iowa.
In the year 2000, Jack semi-retired from Hallett Materials Aggregate
Sales, but continued working for Halletts part-time in which he
sold golf course building materials through out the state.
Jack enjoyed collecting antique cars and trucks. He was a member
of the Central Iowa Antique Truck Historical Society.
Jack Sinclair died July 3, 2004 at the Greene County Medical
Center. He was 68 years of age. Preceding him in death were his
parents; and one sister, Sandra Evans.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Sinclair of Jefferson; one
daughter: Sue Fagen and her husband Mike of Des Moines; two sons:
Jack Jr and his wife Amy of Grimes; and John of Des Moines; two
step-sons: Paul Ogren and his wife Vicki, and Steve Ogren, all
of Jefferson;
7 grandchildren: Kati and Adam Ogren; Melissa and Michael Fagen;
Trenton Sinclair; Blake and Katie Burkett; and Cory Sinclair;
and one sister, Jean Dent of Corydon, IA.
