Bobby Davis Funeral services for Bobby Davis, 83, of Jefferson will be 10:00 am Monday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home Chapel, Jefferson, IA. Burial will be in the Franklin Township Cemetery, Cooper, IA. Visitation will start at noon Sunday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson, with family present to greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Bobby Dean Davis was born June 24, 1922 at Cooper, Iowa. He was the son of Otto and Georgia Kinkead Davis. Bobby was raised on the Davis farm. He graduated from Cooper High School. On June 21, 1941, Bobby was united in marriage to Maxine Johnson. They farmed on the Davis farm, and then moved to Garden Grove, California where they raised three children, Ronnie, Connie, and Candie; and eventually raised their grandchildren, Birt, Shannon, Travis, and Joe. Bobby retired from the operating engineers. In 1990, Bobby and his grandson Birt returned to Jefferson and lived on the Davis farm. Bobby enjoyed farming with this grandson, flying planes, and spending time with his family. Bob Davis died November 23, 2005 at the Greene county Medical Center in Jefferson. He was 83 years of age. Preceding him in death were his parents, his son, Ronnie and a sister in infancy. Survivors include two daughters: Candie and Connie; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. |
