Funeral services for Doris McCollum, 85, of Jefferson, will be 1:30 pm Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home, Jefferson. Interment will be at the Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
Doris Darlene McCollum was born July 29, 1919 at Churdan, Iowa. She was the daughter of Herbert Franklin Anderson and Delia Ann Bishop Anderson. Sixty eight years ago, Doris was united in marriage to Bert McCollum. They became the parents of two sons. Doris was a homemaker and farm wife. She belonged to First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Doris McCollum died March 13, 2005 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. She was 85 years of age. Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers: Marvin Anderson, Herbert Anderson and Eugene Anderson; and one sister: Helen Wheeler. Surviving is her husband, Bert McCollum of Jefferson; two sons: Larry McCollum of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Dennis McCollum of Baltimore, MD; one sister: Eula May Hicks of Churdan, IA; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. |
