Evelyn Allene Edmundson, 92, formerly of Des Moines, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the Jefferson Manor in Jefferson, Iowa.   A memorial service for Evelyn Edmundson will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Mrs. Edmundson is survived by nephews and nieces, including Joan Lang of Jefferson, IA.

Evelyn was born June 17, 1913 in Winfield, Kansas to Edward L. and Grace (Wilson)Watkins.  She graduated from Grimes Public High School in 1931 and Baker Business University in Flint, Michigan in December of 1932.  She worked at Critchett piano in Des Moines as a bookkeeper and spent over twenty years as a sales associate at Josephs Jewelry in downtown Des Moines until her retirement.  Evelyn was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Guy Noah, her sister Gracelyn Durlam and step-granddaughter Cindy Jurgens.

She is survived by nieces Sue Lucht of Clive and Joan (Larry) Lang of Jefferson, nephew David (Joyce) Durlam of Raleigh, North Carolina, step-daughters Rovene (Norman) Jurgens of Des Moines and Jean Willadsen of Atlanta, Georgia and step-grandchildren Ric Jurgens, Ken Jurgens and Kris Wong of Des Moines.
