Leo Lynch Funeral services for Leo Lynch, 84, of Paton, will be 10:30am Monday at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction, with interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction beginning at 1:00pm Sunday, where there will be a 4:30pm Rosary, a 5:00pm Vigil For the Deceased, followed by visitation with the family until 7:00pm.
Leo Michael Lynch was born to Walter and Mary (Rouse) Lynch on January 1, 1921 at Whiteman, Iowa. He was raised on a farm north east of Dana, and graduated from Dana High School in 1938. On November 15, 1941, Leo was united in marriage to Ina Hayes at Grand Junction. Iowa. They farmed north east of Dana for 52 years. Leo retired in 1984, and moved to Paton in 1994. Leo was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction. He enjoyed playing cards with family, and dancing to the Big Band music, especially Lawrence Welk. Leo Lynch died November 10, 2005 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. Preceding him in death were his parents; and infant sister, Margaret; a brother, Francis Lynch; and a sister, Catherine Day. Surviving are his wife, Ina and seven children: Kathy Ladd and her husband, Denny of Jefferson; Dan of Jefferson; Barb Kramer and her husband Terry of Cedar Rapids; Marilyn Lansman and her husband Chris of Grand Junction; John of Dana; Susan of Orlando, FL; and Ed and his wife, Becky of Grand Junction. Leo is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. |
