Mark McCoy Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson after 10:00 a.m. Friday. There will be a Vigil for the Deceased at 7:00 P.M. Friday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson, followed by visitation with the family.
Mark worked at Bordenaro’s Market during his high school years. He continued to work there, as a meat cutter, until the store closed. Mark was employed at G & M Market which later became Jerry’s Holiday Foods, and he also assisted with work at the Butcher’s Block. For many years, he delivered parts for the Jefferson NAPA Store. In recent years, Mark has been associated with Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Mark was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson. He was an avid Notre Dame fan, and had a deep-seated bond with his yellow Labrador, Knute. Mark McCoy died at his home October 26, 2005. He was 51 years of age. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a nephew, Brett Robert McCoy. Survivors include two sisters: Teresa Chesler and her husband Roger of Jefferson, IA; and Margaret Renslow and her husband Mark of Grand Junction, IA; four brothers: Steve McCoy and his wife Karen of Jefferson, IA; Tim McCoy of Jefferson, IA, twin brother, Rev. Msgr. Kevin McCoy of Vatican City; and Chris McCoy and his wife Lana of Grand Island, Nebraska; seven nephews, two great-nephews, and three great-nieces. |
