Richard James Last was born November 30, 1945 in Boone, Iowa. He was the son of Herbert and Lucille Last. Rick graduated from Jefferson High School. He entered the United States Air Force in June of 1966. Rick was a jet engine mechanic for the Air Force. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1970, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Most recently, Rick was employed at Scranton Manufacturing. He retired in April 2004 due to failing health. Rick Last died February 3, 2005 at the Jefferson Manor at the age of 59 years. Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home, Jefferson was in charge of the cremation. Memorial services will be announced at a future date. Rick was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Lucille Last of Jefferson; and two sisters: Marjorie (Mrs. Larry) Todd of St. Charles, IL and LuAnn (Mrs. Jim) Adkisson of Grand Blanc, MI.
