Lowell Creger, 81, of Jefferson, IA passed away at Greene County Medical Center, Saturday, September 16, 2006.  Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home, Jefferson, IA, with interment at Dawson Twp Cemetery near Paton.  Visitation will be at the Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson Wednesday, September 20, 2006 beginning at 1:00 PM.  Family will be present at the funeral home to greet friends from 1-4 pm and 5-8 pm Wednesday.

Lowell, son of Marvin and Hilda (Smith) was born February 6, 1925 in Dawson Twp, Greene County, IA.  Lowell spent the majority of his life as a farmer and most recently was the previous owner/operator of the Coffee Shop in Paton.

Lowell is survived by his wife Carol of 18 years;his children Dick Creger (Penny), Pat Wagner, Beck Travers (Mike) and Bob Creger (Barbara); his step-sons Bill Cloninger, Mark Burton and Jim Burton; eleven grand children and 16 great grandchildren.  Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; two sons, Jim Creger and Tom Creger; and two grandsons, Marc Creger and Brad Creger.
