Funeral services for Logan Scheuermann, 16, of Jefferson, will be 10:00am Saturday October 21, 2006 at the Jefferson-Scranton Middle School Gymnasium in Jefferson.  Interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 2:00pm Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson.  The family will greet friends at the church from 3:00 pm – 8:00pm Friday.

Logan’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Logan’s name as a memorial will be established in his name.

Logan Mikael Scheuermann, son of Kent and Janie Graven Scheuermann, was born on September 1, 1990 in Ames, Iowa.  Logan was a sophomore at Jefferson-Scranton High School and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson.  Logan was involved in Little League and Mini wrestling before participating in football, wrestling, track and baseball during his middle school and high school years. He was also a member of Jefferson-Scranton FFA and Ducks Unlimited.

Logan was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, trapping, and fishing.  He loved NASCAR with #24 being his favorite.  Logan enjoyed doing anything outdoors or hands on.  In the past year, he was really involved in stock car racing, in which, he attended a race somewhere every weekend.

Logan passed away on October 15, 2006 as a result of an auto accident in Boone County, Iowa.  He was 16 years of age.  Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents Beryl and Pauline Graven; Frank and Hazel Scheuermann and Ralph and Bertha Cox and his uncle, Kenton Eugene Scheuermann.

Logan’s survivors include his parents, Kent and Janie Scheuermann of Jefferson, IA; sisters, Airicka Scheuermann of Cedar Falls, IA and Lyndsie Scheuermann of Cedar Falls, IA and friend, Josh Thompson of Boone, IA; grandparents, Darwin and Rosie Scheuermann of Grand Junction, IA;  and  Don and Jackie Graven of Jefferson, IA and great-grandparents, Harris and Meridene Johnson of Jefferson, IA.

Also surviving are Aunts and Uncles, Vicki and Dan Nation; Kevin and Meladee Graven; Rodney and Sherry Graven; Danny Graven; Julie Graven; Jay Graven; Terry Graven; Kim Scheuermann and friend, Carla; and Shanda and Jim Hoyle; cousins, Ryan, Jason and Ashley Nation; Travis, Kyle, Cory, Derek and Jenna Graven; J.J. and Teresa Hoyle; Lacie and Justin Robbins; Shane Scheuermann and friend, Lisa Griffin; Tanner Scheuermann; Sommer Scheuermann; Bryce, Brandon, Kaleb and Emma Hoyle; McKinley and Grant Robbins and many, many friends  and family who will miss him dearly.
