Thomas Albert Lauzon Thomas Lauzon, 81, of Jefferson, Iowa died at the Greene County Medical Center on April 12, 2006. The family will visit with friends Saturday evening, April 15, 2006, from 5;30-7:00 pm at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. A memorial service will be held in Chicago at a later date. Thomas Albert Lauzon was born on May 3, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to Alfred and Elsie Lauzon. Tom was in the Navy from 1942 – 1951. While serving he was involved in WWII and the Korean War, he always had war stories to share with anyone. He later worked for United Airlines, eventually owned a service station in Schaumberg, Illinois and worked at Armor Metal Products before moving to Jefferson, Iowa in 1970. After relocating to Jefferson he delivered dairy products for the Boone All Star Dairy before he began his 16 years of service at Parker Industries, retiring from there in 1989. Tom was named Grand Worshipful master in 1968 for the Theodore Roosevelt Masonic Lodge #1022 in Chicago Illinois and was active in the Jefferson Elks Lodge #2306 after moving to Jefferson. Tom's favorite past times were hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. He always seemed to have numerous hunting and fishing tales and there probably wasn’t anyone around who had more fishing tackle than he did. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include a son Mike Lauzon and wife Vicki of Boone and 2 grandchildren Jake and Nicole. |
