Services for Dwight Middleton, 81, of Okmulgee, OK will be 10:30am Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Interment will be in Moffitt Grove Cemetery in Guthrie County.

Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home after 11:00am Tuesday, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday.

Dwight V. Middleton was born in Guthrie County, Iowa on June 20, 1926, the son of Carl and Zetta (Ford) Middleton.

Dwight married Betty Wilcox on December 21, 1947 where they farmed in Greene County, Iowa. In 1964, Dwight started Middleton Restoration in Jefferson, Iowa and later relocated to Okmulgee, OK where he continued to operate his business through 2007.

The love of Dwight's life was his family. His passion was trading vehicles and Farmall Tractors. He enjoyed participating in the Great Iowa Tractor Drive.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Okmulgee, OK where he attended the Harmony Sunday School class.

Dwight is survived by his loving wife Betty of the home and his 4 children:
Carolyn Rubendall of Ottawa, KS; Bill Middleton and wife DeLois of Okmulgee, OK; Lynn Middleton and wife Cathy of Lakeland, FL; and John Middleton and wife Glenda of Okmulgee, OK; and by 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Dwight is also survived by 5 brothers; Ralph (Jean)of Mesa, AZ; Robert
(Louise) of Gilbert, AZ; Lyle (Joan) of Des Moines, IA; Norman of Austin, TX; and Vernon (Darlene) of Kansas City, MO; and 6 sisters: Melba Wilcox (Dick), Rita Dunivan, Reva Owen (David), and Darlene Hoskins (Wendell)all of Jefferson, IA; Maureen Franks (Bob) of Alexandria, VA; and Sharon Wortman (Tony)of George, IA.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Zetta, and his sister, Betty Jones.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 1st at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson, Iowa with interment to follow at Moffitt Grove Cemetery, Guthrie County, Iowa.
