Funeral services for Doris Robinson, 92, will be 2:00 pm Monday April 23, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson, with burial in the Jefferson Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the funeral service Monday starting at 9:00 am, with family present from 11:00 am- noon to receive family and friends.

Doris Nadine Sanderson Robinson, daughter of Earnest and Maud (Peacock) Sanderson was born on July 29, 1914 in Greene County Iowa.

Doris graduated from Jefferson High School in 1932.  She married Herbert Robinson in 1935 in Jefferson.  Herb and Doris farmed in Greene County and moved into Jefferson in 1961.   They were the parents of two daughters, Diane Foster and Mary Augustus. 

Doris enjoyed playing cards, cooking, sewing and gardening.  She liked spending winters in Texas after they retired from farming. 

Doris Robinson, 92, died April 21, 2007, Long Term Care, Greene County Medical Center, Jefferson, Iowa.  Preceding her in death were her husband, Herbert, parents, Earnest and Maud Sanderson, sisters, Vava Berry, Norma Jackson, Sarahetta Richardson, brothers Harold and Earnie Sanderson. 

Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Andy) Foster of Jefferson, IA and Mary (Terry) Augustus, of Glidden, IA; grandchildren Teri (Dan) Room, Nick (Annette) Foster, Jon Augustus and Aaron Augustus; great-grandchildren, Chuck Foster, Nicole (James) Timmons, Olivia Room and Bailey Room; great-great granddaughter Dakota Foster; sister-in-law, Margaret Last and several nieces and nephews.
