Funeral services for John T. Goodwin, 85, of El Cajon, CA, will be 10:00am Saturday July 7, 2007 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.

John Thomas Goodwin was born August 12, 1921 in Bagley, Iowa, the seventh and youngest child of Ernest and Emily (Moorcroft) Goodwin. John graduated from Jefferson High School in 1940. He joined the Army National Guard in 1941 through 1945 and served in WWII at Pearl Harbor. He rejoined the Army National Guard in 1949 and transferred into the Air National Guard in 1950. He was called into active duty in April of 1950. In 1966 he was discharged from the Air Force and went to work for American Airlines in March 1968, retiring from there in the 1980’s.

John Goodwin died June 24, 2007 in El Cajon, California. He is survived by his wife, Beulah (Bobbie) Goodwin of El Cajon, CA; son Geoffrey Goodwin and daughter-in-law Rebecca Goodwin of Lincoln, NE; and 2 grandsons, Conner and Ethan Goodwin.
