Beverly J. Ogren Sinclair Beverly Joan Ogren Sinclair, daughter of Algy and Goldie McClurg Anderson, was born on March 4, 1931, in Jefferson, Iowa. Beverly lived with her mother until Goldie’s death in 1936. Upon her mother’s death, she went to live with her grandparents, Arthur and Kate McClurg, in Scranton. After her grandmother’s death in 1944, Beverly lived with her Grandfather McClurg through her high school years. In 1948, Arthur McClurg passed away. Beverly moved to Jefferson and was employed as a secretary in the office of L.F. Wilcox, Greene County Attorney. In 1949, Beverly married Alfred Ogren. They became the parents of three sons; Alfred Paul, Craig and Steven. In 1972, Fred and Beverly purchased Ferguson-Diehl Gravel Company which became F & D Sand & Gravel. In 1975, a tragic accident took the life of their son, Craig. After Fred’s death, in 1987, Beverly helped Paul and Steve with the family business until the company was sold in 1994. In 1993, Beverly was married to Larry Jack Sinclair. Beverly Ogren Sinclair passed away on April 17, 2008 at the Long Term Care Unit- Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. She was 77 years of age. Preceding her in death were her grandparents; parents; husbands, Fred Ogren and Jack Sinclair; son, Craig Ogren; brother, Gene Anderson; sisters, Maxine Peterson and Darlene Knutson and half-brother, James Jordan. Survivors include two sons: Alfred Paul and his wife Vicki Ogren; and Steven Ogren, all of Jefferson, IA; grandchildren: Kati and Curt McFadden of Dubuque, IA and Adam and Amber Ogren of Nevada, IA; great-granddaughter, Hannah McFadden; brother: Royal Anderson and his wife Adeline of Jefferson, IA; sister, Nadine Rudi of Iowa City, IA; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
