Funeral services for Nadine Wilson, 91 of Paton, Iowa will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Salem Methodist Church in Paton, IA with interment at the Paton Twp. Cemetery.  The family will greet friends at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Nadine was born November 9, 1916 at Grand Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Harry Boies Metzger and Amy B. Green Metzger.  She grew up north of Grand Junction on a farm. After she graduated from Grand Junction High School she attended Nursing Training in Des Moines.  She later returned home and worked at Ona's Cafe in Paton where she met Jesse Wilson. They were married March 15, 1939.   They spent all of their married life in the Paton area and were the parents of six sons and one daughter.

Nadine worked at the Greene County Hospital for several years as a Nurses Aide. 
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Paton.  She was involved in many church and community activities and would always be there to lend a helping hand.  Nadine enjoyed life and loved playing cards, bowling, and her church, but most of all she loved taking those road trips with friends.

Nadine died January 14, 2008 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson at the age of 91 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; her husband Jesse; a daughter Victoria Ann; and sons Robert, Richard, Russell and daughter-in-law, Lois. 

Surviving are daughters-in-law Ellen Wilson of Jefferson, Judi Wilson of Jefferson, and Judy Wilson of Paton; sons and wives:  Raymond and Jane Wilson of Farnhamville, Rex and Virginia Wilson of Paton and Roger and Dorena Wilson of Paton; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Salem United Methodist Church of Paton.  Services were arranged by Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home of Jefferson.
