Funeral services for Orpha Wilcox, 98, of Jefferson, will be 2:00 pm Tuesday September 9, 2008 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson, with burial at the Dawson Township Cemetery, Greene County, Iowa.  Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson at 1:00 pm Tuesday September 9, 2008, 1 hour prior to the service. 

Orpha is survived by several nieces and nephews including Dick Wilcox of Jefferson, Iowa.

Orpha Idelle Terrell Wilcox was born March 19, 1910 in Eddyville, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Otis T. Terrell and Edith R. Selway Terrell.  Orpha lived in Avery, Iowa from 1916 to 1928.
    
Orpha graduated from Albia High School in 1927.  She then attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines for one year.
    
From 1928 to 1998, Orpha lived in Des Moines.  Over the years she worked as an office secretary for several Des Moines businesses
    
In 1998, Orpha moved to Jefferson, Iowa.  She died September 6, 2008 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa at the age of 98 years.
    
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Charles Jackson and her husband Charles E. Wilcox; and her brothers:  Paul T. Terrell and Gilbert S. Terrell.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Dick Wilcox of Jefferson, Iowa.
