Penny Sue Louk was born on March 3, 1954 to Richard and Janice Lane.  Penny attended school in Jefferson and graduated from high school in 1972.  She married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Louk, on June 16, 1973.  They were lifelong partners for 35 years and had dated since the 9th grade.  They were blessed with two children (Chad and Jennifer).  They made their home in Jefferson, IA where Dennis operates a plumbing and heating business.  Penny worked as a secretary for Wilcox Law Firm and also for the family business until she was no longer able to do so.

In the late 1980's, Penny was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  She battled the disease for many years with her husband and children by her side every step of the way.  Although the disease may have limited her physically, she still approached every day with optimism and never let herself get down.  Penny was known for a beautiful smile that could light up any room.  She loved to laugh and those who knew her will keep this in their memory forever.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and had such a soft spot in her heart for her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all.

Penny was preceded in death by her grandparents and father-in-law.
