Funeral services for Thelma M. Brandenburg, 80, of Dayton, formerly of Lehigh, will be 2:00pm Monday April 21, 2008 at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction. The family will visit with friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery. Services were arranged by Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home.

Thelma M. Brandenburg, 80, died April 18, 2008 at Grandview Healthcare in Dayton, Iowa where she had resided for three years. 

Thelma was born on May 11, 1927 in Greene County, Iowa.  Thelma was married to John N. Brandenburg on January 4, 1945.  They resided in Lehigh where they raised their family.  Thelma retired from the Webster County Care Facility after 20 years of service. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, visiting with family, and traveling.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2008 at the First Methodist Church in Grand Junction, Iowa.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John, her daughter, Judith and her parents, Leonard and Mary Ross. Thelma is survived by her children, Dennis (Carole) of Clare, Iowa, and Robert of Stratford.  Linda (Bob) Tappe of Columbus, Ohio, Jolene (Norm) Ostbloom of Des Moines, Iowa, Christine Brandenburg of Fort Dodge and Julie (Dale) Beaver of Olathe, Kansas.  Thelma is survived by seven grandchildren and her sister, Eva Stoline of Jefferson.  She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
