Barbara Durbin
Barbara Beth Bryan Durbin daughter of, Clark and Bertha Bryan, was born October 26, 1935 in Taylorville, Illinois. She was the youngest of four children. In November 1958 Barbara was united in marriage to Charles William Durbin. They took up residence in Waukegan, Illinois and had three children Bret, Patricia and Susan. Upon the early retirement of Charles in 1972 the family moved to Farlin, Iowa to be closer to relatives in the area. They moved to Jefferson in 1992 and Barbara moved to Regency Park in 2007. Barbara was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas and an active member of the Catholic Church. She spent her time in Iowa helping raise the family and worked as a cook at the County Farm Facility. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and her husband Charles in 1992. Barbara is survived by a son Bret of Jefferson, two daughters Patricia and husband Tommy Stewart of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Susan and husband Mark Fitzpatrick of Des Moines, Iowa; Nine grandchildren Eric Durbin of Indianola, Deanna Durbin of Bossier City, Louisiana, Katelyn and Megan Durbin of Jefferson, Trey and Charlie Stewart of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Lisa, Kim, and Joey Fitzpatrick of Des Moines, Iowa; and one great grandson Jacob Durbin of Bossier City. |
