Memorial visitation for Bonnie, 80, will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson.  Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery at a later date.

Bonnie G. Hostetler, daughter of Tom and Esther Glines Langford, was born on January 1, 1929, in Humboldt County, Iowa.  Bonnie was the 5th of 12 children born into this family.

Bonnie attended Jefferson High School and graduated in 1946.  Bonnie was united in marriage to Paul Hostetler on December 5, 1948.  Together they raised two children, Paul (Skeeter) and Lana.  Bonnie worked in Jefferson as a legal secretary for the Cudahy Law Firm and later for the Handley Law Office.  Bonnie retired in 1995 after many years of service.

Through the years Bonnie was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed drives through the country side to observe the local wildlife.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and family.  In years past, she enjoyed painting, crafts, and working on special projects with her sisters.

Bonnie passed away on January 14, 2009 at the Greene County Long Term Care Facility in Jefferson, Iowa.  She was 80 years of age.  Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul; brothers, Jack, Verle, Donald, Joe, Tom and sisters, Marjorie, Betty, Ruth and grandson, Joshua Hostetler, infant son of Paul and Pam.

Survivors include her sisters, Jeane Burk and Kay Buswell and brother, Dale Langford; her children, Paul (Skeeter) Hostetler and his wife, Pam, of Jefferson, IA and Lana Goodrich and her husband, Mark, of Reasonor, IA; two grandsons, Tyler Hostetler and his wife, LeAnn of Jefferson, IA and Wyatt Goodrich of Vermont.
