Donna L. Dumdei of Paton, Iowa passed away April 21, 2009, at the age of 77 at Regency Park in Jefferson, Iowa after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 25, 2009 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson at 2:00 PM. Public viewing will be held Friday, April 24 after 2:00 PM with the family being present between 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Donna L. Dumdei was born November 29, 1931 to John and Zelma Neiderheiser in Gowrie, Iowa. The family moved to Columbia, Mo. when she was three. She graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo. in 1949.

She was married to Leo Leroy Dumdei on December 30, 1949 and they had four children.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, collecting pigs and gardening. Donna’s faith and church were very important to her. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She worked at several jobs with the last one being Jim’s Super Value in Jefferson, until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her mother Zelma Neiderheiser, her father John Neiderheiser, and her sister-in-law Dixie Neiderheiser.

She is survived by her husband Leo L. Dumdei, Paton, Iowa. Her four children John and Jo Dumdei, South Sioux City, Neb., Michael and Tonya Dumdei, Texarkana, Texas, Linda Hoover, Dayton, Iowa, David and Teresa Dumdei, Paton, Iowa, 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Glen and Leora Neiderheiser, Texas, Fred Neiderheiser, Utah, and Joe and Leta Neiderheiser, Oregon.
