Funeral Services for June, 85, of Jefferson will be 10:00 am Wednesday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Interment will be in the Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm Tuesday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

June Angeline Dunivan, daughter of Reuben and Clara (Pevestorf) Barrett was born February 20, 1923 on a farm near Coon Rapids, Iowa. June lived most of her childhood on the family farm, and went to country school near Coon Rapids. She graduated from Scranton High School.

On August 11, 1945 June married William Dunivan. To this marriage, two children were born: a son, Tim, and a daughter, Joy.

In 1960, June started working for Greene County Soil Conservation in Jefferson. In the ensuing years, she was a state soil conservation clerk at the county, state, and federal levels. She retired in 1981.

June was a member of Central Christian Church in Jefferson. She and her husband, Bill, enjoyed antiquing. They followed their two grandson’s music, band, and athletic events, never missing anything in which the grandsons were involved.

June Dunivan died February 7, 2009 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center, Jefferson, Iowa. She was 85 years of age. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bill; her son, Tim; and her sister Delores.

June is survived by her daughter, Joy and husband Randy Fox of Jefferson; grandson Justin and his wife Liz of Overland Park, MO; and grandson Tim of Jefferson, IA.
