Funeral Services for Lois Norgart, 81, of Jefferson will be 10:30 am Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson.  Interment will be in Richland Township Cemetery, Guthrie County.  Visitation will be after 11:00 am Friday, May 15, 2009 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Lois Marie Norgart was born on August 8, 1927 at her parent’s home in Cavalier, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Ernest and Eva Pegg.

Lois was married to Arnold E. Norgart on Feb 13, 1944.  They were the parents of four boys.  Lois was a member of the United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and making afghans, along with visiting with family and friends.

Lois grew up and lived in North Dakota, Minnesota and moved to Jefferson, Iowa in 1971. 

Lois died May 9, 2009 and is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, brother Ralph Pegg and her parents.

Survivors include, sons Arnold Jr. and his wife Mary of Jefferson, Iowa, Allen and his wife Jean of Cleveland, Georgia, Glenn and his wife Connie of Fontanelle, Iowa, and Leroy of Jefferson, Iowa.

Grandchildren consist of Pearl, Marie, Pat, Ryan, Rachel, Eugene, Tina, Billy, Nicole, Dustin, Bobby, Allen, Justin, Robert, and Barbie; 7 Great Grandkids; and her brothers and sisters Harvey, Norvel, Kenneth, Herb, Eleanor, and Linda.
