Funeral services for Marilyn Hoyt, 68, of Bagley, will be 10:30am Tuesday February 24, 2009 at United Methodist Church, Bagley, IA.  Interment will be in Dodge Twp. Cemetery.  Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson after 3:00pm Monday, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm Monday.

Marilyn Rae Cain was born March 9, 1940 in Jefferson, Iowa to Orville and Vava Cain.  Marilyn graduated from Bagley High School in 1957.  On December 30, 1958 Marilyn married Ronald R. Hoyt at the Bagley Methodist Church.  After spending time overseas while Ron was in the army, they returned to Bagley and a life of farming and raising a family.  They became proud parents of Brenda, Julie, Teresa and Steve. 

Marilyn enjoyed the many trips she took with Ron and friends to Canada and Las Vegas.
She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities and her family meant the world to her.  Marilyn was a member of the Bagley United Methodist Church, Bagley UMW and Amicus Club.

Marilyn died February 19, 2009 at the age of 68 at the Dallas County Hospital Hospice. 
She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Vava Cain, Husband Ron, Father-in-law Raymond Hoyt, Brother-in-laws, Harris Hoyt and Douglas Becker.  She is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Craig) Flack of Jefferson, Julie (Randy) Burkhardt of Yale, Teresa ( Scott) McClellan of Bayard and one son Steve (Kim) Hoyt of Bagley, seventeen grandchildren, one great grandson, a sister Sandra Becker of Bagley, Sister-in-laws, Vicki (Bob) Gubser of Panora, Barbara Hoyt of Branson, Missouri and Mother-in-law Ferne Hoyt of Coon Rapids.  She also leaves behind many friends and family and will be deeply missed.
