Funeral services for Rose Marie Boston, 81, of Grand Junction, will be 10:30am Tuesday April 14, 2009 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction.  Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 4:00pm Monday at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction where there will be a 5:00pm Rosary, followed by visitation with the family until 7:00pm.

Memorials are suggested to St. Brigid Catholic Church or Greene County Medical Center. 

Rose Marie Chovanic was born June 20, 1927 at Exira, Iowa to John Chovanic Sr. and Elizabeth (Rose) Chovanic. Rose graduated from Casey High School in 1946. She married Coryell Nicholas Bell on June 13, 1946. Rose and Coryell owned and operated Bell Cleaners in the Atlantic, Iowa area until 1956 when they relocated to Grand Junction, Iowa. Rose and Coryell had three children: David Bell, Michael Bell and Katherine (Bell-Boston) Brown.

Rose married Richard G. Boston on October 24, 1964 and together they had a son, Regie Boston. Rose and Richard enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Rose worked at Jefferson Transmission Plant until she retired in 1989.

Rose was an active member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction and led the Rosary every Friday morning before Mass. She was also a member of Ray Hawbaker American Legion Post #28, Business Women, VFW, and many card clubs. Rose enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and going out to eat with family and friends.

Rose Marie Boston passed away April 6, 2009 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, with her family at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Coryell N. Bell and Richard G. Boston; a sister, Lillian Hagon; and a brother, John Chovanic Jr.

Survivors include her sons: David Bell (Cheryl) of Ocala, FL; Michael Bell of Des Moines, IA; Regie Boston (Jenny) of Runnells, IA and daughter Kathy Brown (Ron) of Rippey, IA; grandchildren: Julie Collins (Brian) of Jacksonville, FL; Lisa Marshall (Daren) of Des Moines, IA; Ben Brown (Mandy) of Des Moines, IA; Jim Brown (Jenny) of Sioux City, IA; Jacob Boston of Ames, IA; and Travis Boston of Runnells, IA; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marian Pearce of Fort Myers, FL and Joan Minnihan of Jefferson, IA; five nephews; three nieces; and many friends.
