Funeral Services for Warren Craig Rowles, 84, will be 10:30 am Saturday, January 17, 2009 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Grand Junction, Iowa.  Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Grand Junction, Iowa.  Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2009 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be a Prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Warren Craig Rowles was born on September 3, 1924 to Craig and Bessie (Smittle) Rowles.  Warren graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1942 and started farming.  On June 19, 1947 Warren married Marilyn Gannon.

Warren enjoyed farming, square dance calling, woodworking, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.  He was a member of St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Leisure World Barbershop Chorus and the Greene County Town and Country Band.

Warren passed away Tuesday January 13, 2009 at the Greene County Medical Center. He was 84 years of age. Warren was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Merle and John Rowles, daughter-in-law, Judy Rowles, and granddaughter, Teresa Fagen.

Warren is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Rowles of Jefferson, IA; brother, Jim (Joanne) Rowles of Grand Junction, IA; children, Lynn (Dennis) Havlicek of Veseli, Minnesota; Rosemary (Dominic) Riccordino of Oak Lawn, Illinois; Peggy (Steve) Fagen of Perry, Iowa and Tom Rowles of Oxford, Iowa ; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
