Memorial services for Chris Scheuermann, 34, of Jefferson, will be held 1:00pm Saturday at the lakeside shelter house at Spring Lake State Park, Greene County, IA.  Memorials are suggested to his family.  Surviving are his wife, Carrie, and 2 children, Megan and Dominic Scheuermann of Jefferson; his parents, Barb and Jerry Scheuermann of Bagley, IA; a sister, Carrie (Ed) Lowe of Panora, IA; grandmother, Margaret Morgan of Fort Mills, SC; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Julie Waterman of Carroll, IA; brother-in-law: Pat Jans of Perry, IA; and sister-in-law, Michelle Spitler of Coon Rapids, IA.
Obituary of Christopher Michael Scheuermann

Christopher Michael Scheuermann, son of Barb and Jerry Scheuermann was born August 7, 1975 in Hartley, Iowa.  Chris died April 20, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 34 years.

Chris attended school in Jefferson and received his GED from Job Corp in Dennison, Iowa.  He then attended DMACC in Carroll, Boone and Ankeny and graduated with an Associates Degree in Human Services in May of 2005.  He worked at the Lutheran Social Services in Ames, Iowa Beloit Campus as a counselor. 

On February 11, 1999 Chris married Carrie Waterman in Audubon, Iowa.  They were the parents of two children:  Megan and Dominic.  They made their home in Jefferson.

Chris enjoyed reading Stephen King, hiking, and cookouts.  He enjoyed going to work and working with the kids there, and spending time with his family. 

Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather James William Morgan of Fort Mills, South Carolina; and an infant child William James Scheuermann on March 11, 1999.
