Funeral services for Dean Bortz, 96, of Jefferson, will be 10:00am Saturday April 17, 2010 at Central Christian Church in Jefferson, with interment in Jefferson Cemetery.   The family will be present at the church to greet friends beginning at 9:00am Saturday. 

Survivors include 2 daughters: Carol Bortz Sweem (Dr. Donald) of West Des Moines, IA; and Linda Kay Snape (Wayne Newbury) of Hopkinton, MA; former daughter-in-law Linda May Bortz Huff (Herb) of Jefferson, IA; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials for the Central Christian Church or the Greene County Medical Center Foundation.
