Funeral services for Susan Emmett, 61, of Grand Junction, will be 1:30pm Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at The First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction, with burial in the Junction Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson after 2:00pm Tuesday, where the family will greet friends from 6-8:00pm Tuesday. 

Susan Anne (Munson) Emmett was born December 9, 1946 in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Willis and Naomi (Weems) Munson.  Susan graduated from East Greene High School, Class of 1965.  Upon graduation, Susan worked for the Globe Free Press in Grand Junction, Iowa.  Later, Susan worked for 22 years until her retirement with NC+ Hybrids.

Susan was married to Wayne Emmett on November 19, 1967 at Rippey United Methodist Church.  They are the parents of one daughter, JoDee (Emmett) Hoffman.  Susan enjoyed working with her church, hosting numerous social events, and camping.

Susan belonged to many organizations, including the Red Hat Society, El Carim, United Methodist Women, and Grand Junction Lions Club.

Susan died on April 12, 2008 at her home in Grand Junction.  She was 61 years of age.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Willis and Naomi Munson.  She is survived by her husband, Wayne of Grand Junction, daughter and son-in-law, JoDee and Richie Hoffman of McKinney, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindy Munson of Polk City, Iowa, along with numerous relatives and friends.
